- the set of drawings are due tomorrow and we may actually make the deadline! This has been a crazy week for this. I haven't done a wall section since spring quarter! I don't know how we managed to do it. We all eventually came to a decision about the house. However, I want make a motion to ban the "vote to vote!"
- Janina and I got hit on by the guys that cut down the trees. I was dating Mike and she was dating Shannon. I kind of expected that to happen, but their behavior and language were totally uncalled for. They cut down the trees, but we also had to buy them lunch in order for us to get three more trees cut down. Now we have a lot to clean up! It doesn't even look like we made a dent in the site because we have so many trees.
- We spent time on the site this morning cleaning up and removing and cutting down trees. We actually got help from one of the neighbors from around the corner. He brought an extra chain saw. Thank you Mr. James!!! He reminded me of my Uncle Buddy!!! Ha! The family drove by the site and saw what was going on. The mother is ready to help. I would have loved for her to been out there today helping us remove the branches.

STEP IT UP!!!
So, I'm ready to turn in these darn drawings. I'm about sick of dealing with it. Also, I'm ready that stupid pine tree gone in front of the house.
I went out with Ashley yesterday, and I had the best time. It's one thing to send a business a postcard or pamphlet describing your project, but it's another thing to go out and talk to the people running the businesses in person. They are excited about wanting to get involved anyway they can. We only hit up Farmerville Hwy and that was about a three hour field trip, and we managed to already get some things donated.
We met with the family, and the kids seem to be really excited about getting a new house. The mother told us that she is not bringing from her current house into the new one. She wants a fresh start.

Possiblities
Ok, so now, we are in the process of officially getting a partner family. That would completely change the morale of the group. The one thing that I am really enjoying about this process is talking with people in the community. We are on a tight schedule to put these drawings into the building office for a permit. It's starting to get frustrating because we have to come together and decide. We are still getting along but there are still some minor arguements that come up. SIPs panels are now in full force, but I'm getting nervous that I'm putting all this research into finding manufacturers and we don't get them. I would be very hurt if that did not happen. One thing I'm really into right now is connection between the living room and back door. Shannon and I have been pushing to have pivot doors that we would make ourselves. How that is going to happen and can we do it?

Monday Review
So, I spent all night and all this morning trying to get ready for a review that we have this afternoon. My glasses are going to be a quarter inch thick when I graduate for being at a computer for nearly 15 hours. Hopefully, the sections I did will read well. That's been a slight problem with me, but I do intend to get better.
The days are running together.
